Maspalomas covers a large area

Maspalomas is larger than the postcard

The dunes, beach and lighthouse form the best known image of Maspalomas, but the wider area includes several neighbourhoods, hotel zones and access points. A property described as being in Maspalomas may therefore place you in a very different setting from another property with the same destination label.

This is exactly where spatial orientation matters. Use the 360° view to see what lies between the dunes, the beach, the accommodation and the neighbouring resort areas.

Maspalomas, Playa del Inglés or Meloneras?

Playa del Inglés is the denser and livelier resort area on the eastern side of the dune system. Meloneras extends west from the lighthouse with a polished promenade and large hotels. Maspalomas sits between and around these reference points, with the dunes giving the area its strongest identity.

Choose Maspalomas when the landscape itself is part of the reason for travelling, but inspect the exact hotel location carefully because distances inside the broader resort can be greater than the destination name suggests.

What the VistaLINX perspective adds

A conventional map shows roads and pins. VistaLINX shows the scale and form of the territory: the dune field, the coastline, the lighthouse edge and the surrounding development. That makes it easier to judge whether you want to stay close to the beach, closer to Meloneras or nearer the services of Playa del Inglés.

Planning questions

Frequently asked questions about Maspalomas

Is Maspalomas a beach or a resort area?

It is both a well known beach and a broader resort destination. The term is used for a large area, so always check the exact position of your accommodation rather than relying only on the destination label.

Are the Maspalomas dunes close to Meloneras?

The lighthouse and the western edge of the dune and beach system meet the Meloneras promenade area. The transition is visible in the interactive view.

Is Maspalomas quieter than Playa del Inglés?

Parts of Maspalomas feel more open and lower key, but the area is too large for one simple answer. Exact hotel position and nearby roads or centres matter.

Why use a 360° view before booking in Maspalomas?

Because the scale and internal geography are easy to underestimate. The view helps you see how hotels relate to the dunes, beach, lighthouse and adjacent resort areas before you commit.
